Error 500 after editing settings

I can install rssLounge without any problems. All checks are green, the DB connection is fine and I can import OPML perfectly.

I can also work with it... but as soon as I do a change within the settings and click "OK" I can no longer access the site!

"HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request."

Any clue what this might be?

how to display only titles in feeds? (reply)

I have both RSS Lounge and Selfoss running... I actually like RSS Lounge much better. Selfoss has mobile device support but that's the only advantage today, it's a step backwards in lots of ways including features, functionality and user interface... Even the name is cooler.

I just found RSS Lounge yesterday for the first time after seeing that Google Reader is closing... it's sad to see RSS Lounge is already not supported. I do not have the skills to work on it myself. With just a bit of work it could rival Google Reader in my opinion, thanks for creating it... it's a great web app but unsupported it will die an untimely death unless someone takes it over.

loungeDroid an other rsslounge android client

Hello,

I'm not a developer of rssLounge, but I use it on my server and I wanted to use it on my android device.

I've used the rssLounge for AndroidrssLounge for Android client and I wanted to improve it. But, as I wanted to do too many changes, I've decided to code it again from zero.

And so, the loungeDroid project is born. I've just released it this week, but I didn't have time to test it with all possible rssLounge configurations. So, please consider this release as an alpha version and please take time to do bug reports

Regards,
Adrien

rsslounge API ? (reply)

I'm in the same boat. I'd like to sync my desktop feed reader (Liferea on Linux) with Rsslounge to be able to read articles when I'm offline, or the home server goes down. Liferea already provides sync with Google Reader or Netvibes thanks to their API, but I think implementing sync with Rsslounge without an API is impossible.

Alternatively, I'd be interested in any other way to read my Rsslounge feeds offline (OPML+Starred+read/unread status export?)

Thanks

curl SSL certificate validation

I had a couple of RSS feeds not updating because curl couldn't verify their SSL certificates (https, wrong hostname in cert or self-signed).

The minimal fix for this is probably to just disable certificate validation in the SimplePie library:

Password security

Hello!

I was playing with the network inspector included in Epiphany and I've seen that when I log in my rssLounge instance, the HTTP Post message contains my password in clear text. I hope, that's I haven't read correctly my network activity, but if not shouldn't you "encrypt" password with MD5SUM or SHA1 before sending it to the server ?

That's not an issue for me, because I use https, but it should be a security fail for the one who use http.
